Sonamoo - Deja Vu [Mini-Album Review]

So I've been really digging this album so I thought why not make a review. This will be my first Album Review, so sorry if it isn't that good. The album contains six songs that does make a imagine off a tough girl group.

So the album starts of with the intro song "Into Me". It's kind of ballad with some spoken parts. The songs is completely in English, and it is for the most part alright, but there's one sentence that's a little weird.  "Let me make sure just one thing, are you ready for the off with me, huh?" It is a pretty good Intro song.

Next up comes the title track "Deja Vu". I really like this song. The beat works well with the other elements in the song. I'm going to have the sentence "It's like Deja Vu" stuck in my head for the next days. If you look at the lyrics you really get the feels of a tough girl group. The MV was good, I'd hoped for a little more power in the dance. The dance break in the song does take a little care of that.

Next up we have "Love Call". This is my favorite song of the album. I really like the hint of the smooth synths. It gives you more of a modern feel. My favorite part of song is the chorus especially the end of the chorus. "Every day"

After that comes "People's Little Sister". This has more of a common pop song style. It's a good and catchy song. The hook "ooh whoa ooh whoa" really sticks to your brain.

The fifth song "Just Go" is more funky. It has that "Be Happy" feel. With sentences like "My life is gonna be beautiful" and "Spread your wings and fly, go up to the sky" you really understand what the songs is about.

Then we have the last song "Everlasting Love". This is a beautiful ballad song with a beat. The rap's are absolutely amazing and it has really poetic lyrics. At the end it sounds like all the members sings together and it really adds to the song.

All in all I really like this album. It has a tough girl group vibe with ballads and funky songs. I'm really excited to see what this group comes up with next.

#MyKpopStory

So I've seen this tag running around lately and it looked really fun. So I'm doing it! This is My Kpop Story.

So I first discovered Kpop in 2009 when my best friend showed it to me. I remember the 4 first videos i saw.

Gee - SNSD
Oh! - SNSD
Haru Haru - BIGBANG
Fire - 2ne1

I liked Kpop then. I knew what it was and saw some music videos here and there, but I wasn't that into it. Than she showed me

Cry Cry - T-ara

I loved the drama version so much. I couldn't wait for the next part Lovey Dovey. I was counting down days. It ended up being delayed thou. When it finally came out I was so happy. I really started to love T-ara, I watched Day by Day when that came out and so on. But i was still not that into Kpop.

Than she showed me BAP first Warrior an then One shot. I listened to those songs for weeks. Me and my best friend learned the dance to warrior and we were so hooked. I started to really love Kpop.

But it wasn't before she showed me BTS that i really got hooked. I loved them so much. It was then that I really was into Kpop. I started to discover all these groups and solo artists. I couldn't go a day without listening to Kpop and I still can't. I'm so glad that my friend showed me Kpop, I don't know what I would do without it.

Sorry...

So I haven't done what I said I would do. No drama reviews, no weekly update. I don't have an excuse other than I'm just simply lazy. I like this blogging thing, so I'll try to post  more. but I'm not giving any more promises that i'm not sure i can keep.

So for an overall update. I'm currently watching three different dramas. Healer, Pinocchio and Birth of  a beauty. None of those are finished yet. When they do, I'll try to put up a review. Can't promise anything thou. I'm really enjoying them so far. To be honest I didn't think I would enjoy Birth of a beauty that much, but it's really good. There's currently 15 episodes out and I can't wait for the next one. I'm really loving Pinocchio. The main characters are played by Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye, and they're two of my favorite actors. Currently there's out 12 episodes. As for Healer there's just 4 episodes out, and the 5th is coming out today. I'm so excited. I haven't been watching so much drama for a while.

As for a K-pop update. I've started to really love VIXX. I've spent hours on YouTube watching different videos about them. They are just so cute. I could ramble in an eternity about them, but I'm not going to. ;) I'll try to post up a list for my top songs of 2014. Don't know if it'll be Top 10, Top 25 or even Top 50. I want to do something before 2014 ends.

Which songs makes you cry?

If you don't know I cry very easily from sad videos. I have two special music videos i can't watch without crying.
The first one is a music video I watched for the first time not so long ago. I've seen the music video many times, not once without crying. It is about this boy and he goes trough a lot of hardship in this video. The songs is about how "cold" adults can be. They see a kid who clearly has problems, and they ignore it, thinking it's not their problem.  When I'm just listening to my normal playlist and this songs starts playing I stop whatever I was doing for several seconds and just think about the video. Even when I'm just listening to the song without watching the video i barely make it trough without crying.

Melted by Akdong musician

The place where I usually break down is when he meets the dog. At first he is kind of happy to see the dog, but when the dog starts barking... i don't know how to describe it. He just let all his feelings out in those screams.

The next video is an old song. It was first published in 2008. This was one of the first K-pop songs I ever watched. The music video isn't just sad, but every time I hear the song I remember the first time I watched with a very close friend (we're not that close anymore). I remember I was very young and couldn't stop thinking about the video and when i thought about the video I cried. If I'd watched for the first time now I would most likely not cry, but for med there lies a lot of memories behind the song. And just as the other one, when the song starts to play I stop everything I'm doing and can't function right.

So I wonder do you have some songs/Music videos you cry from?

Hello

Hi, there. This is my blog about what i'm most passionate about, Korean music and drama. I'm not from Korea. I'm a 15 year old girl from Norway in northern Europe. Call me Aiika (my nickname). You just need to know that I am a big BTS (Bangtan Boys) fan. I really LOVE them. My favorites Jungkook and V. I need to tell my feelings for certain dramas and songs. I will keep a weekly updated list of my top songs, (doesn't mean the newest releases, but top for me right now.)  and talk about the dramas I'm currently watching. I guess I'll start right now.

Dramas I'm watching
I'm currently following "You're all surrounded". I'm almost dying waiting for the next episode. While I'm waiting I'm catching up with "Doctor Stranger" and watching "My love from another star" (my all time favorite drama) for the second time. I'll post reviews of these dramas in the near future. ;)
